WORKSHOP ON “OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN BUDGET PROCESS” WAS ORGANIZED

imageTransparency Azerbaijan, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) organized a workshop to discuss opportunities for youth participation in budget process. The workshop is the latest in a series within the Azerbaijan Partnership for Transparency (APT) project designed to facilitate enlightenment among youth with the aim of increasing transparency and accountability of government institutions and processes.
The seminar was held at theTransparency Azerbaijan Anti-Corruption Public Union; Baku; J. Jabbarli str. 16, apt. 7from 13.00 to 15.00 on December 19, 2015. The aim of the seminar was to provide students and youth with the instructions about advancing their knowledge on budget and decisions of the government on it through social networks.
Mr. Samir Aliyev provided information about the interests of youth on budget process and their endeavors to get access on the budget information, obstacles and evaluation of information infrastructure.
The subsequent part of the event was organized in an interactive format, in which expert responded to the questions from youth about different cases, which were related in budget discussion in the parliament.
