«Transparency Azerbaijan» will pay attention to gender balance

The Charter of «Transparency Azerbaijan» Fight Against Corruption PU will be amended and it is planned to reduce the terms of elected bodies, achieve gender balance, strengthen obligations related to conflicts of interest and accountability. Decisions about this were made at the meeting of the Board of Directors of «Transparency Azerbaijan» held today. At the same time, it üas discussed the report of the organization for 2023. The proposals of «Transparency Azerbaijan» on Competition Code, on the draft Law «On Public Procurement», on the implementation of the «National Action Plan for the strengthening of the fight against corruption for 2022─2026», and the submission of proposals for the improvement of NGO legislation were noted as the main progress.

At the meeting it was discussed preparation issues for the General Meeting to be held in early 2024.
